So when do you start decorating for the fourth?  I don't go all out but I do add a few red,white and blue touches around to get in the mood.  Is two weeks out to early? One week?  Hmm I will have to delve into the "tote" downstairs and see what is in there and if I get excited about what I see I may go ahead and decorate today.  I should also go out and get the Empress's appt for our 4th of July photo shoot.  I debated whether or not getting them since I will also be wanting to do her birthday photos in August but a couple cutie girl pictures in her new flag dress cannot be ignored :)

Hmmm....

So as I was reviewing my blog I realized it had turned into a rolling slide show of the Empress.  I will endeavor to add more interesting content from now on. I've been working on a few projects.  Got my old dark wood built in bookcases painted white, but haven't finished getting everything back up again.  I will post photos when I'm done.  I've also been branching out in my cooking, baking bread and even making my own tortillas the other night which I must say were very tasty. 

Here is a picture I meant to post a while ago.  I was unable to fly out to Seattle to attend The Pioneer Woman's book signing in Bothell, WA. But my sister and mom were nice enough to stand in line and bring a long a picture of the Empress holding her cookbook. I love this photo!

Ahhh lovely weather

Had some family pictures taken today along with some very cute Easter photos of The Empress. As soon as I get the links to them I will post. But while we wait we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today and get some shots of the little one in the freshly mown grass :)

Birthday Sushi with Daddy~

As per Mini Dad's tradition we have Sushi on his bday every year. I have had the sushi outfit for the baby for almost 3 years waiting to be able to use it. She also had a coordinating sushi blanket for comfort. Every bite daddy took was eagerly watched and mimicked by the Empress.
